Where is tabbed browsing in ie9

Do you have any suggestions? I have the same problem with Firefox. Nothing so far has fixed my tab problem! Nothing has worked. The same problem exists when I install Firefox. Im running IE9 under windows 7 ultimate bit. It solve the problem. But as soon as I re-started the computer and click on IE and then the new tab, it return to the problem state. I check the internet option settings under [When the new tab is open, open:], it was unintentionally set to blank page again.

Like Brad, Alan and Andy, I am having the same problem with retaining the new tab settings for when a tab is opened. I have seen and tried the same thing that Mia suggested but it does not work once the computer is restarted.

Since it appears this is not a random thing I hope microsoft decides to fix it even though there is no revenue in it for them. By the way, Win7, 64 bit, IE9. What gives? This happend after an MS automatic updates session about a month ago. How do I easily get a bunch of IE tabs to all go into one email [ther than copying them one by one or going through tools? I have the smae problem. It always resets to a blank page. Is there a fix yet? Mia, said she had it fixed by changing security settings.

Want to let us know how you did that? I have the blank page problem, too. Would love to hear if anyone has found a solution. Really, why would anyone want to launch a tab with a blank page?

All I have heard is that you must uninstall AVG. I fixed this problem now. In the end what sorted this problem was a good old system cleanup. Rebooted then everything worked fine again. Clean out Junk and temporary files using a cleaning tool Clean out the Windows Registry using a cleaning tool Reboot.

Defrag Reboot. Doing this fixed the problem for me. I am not using Windows 7, and I tried all of the clean up and defrag as you suggest above, but it was removing AVG that worked for me. It is worse in my case: I have the tabs on the right of the URL address, not above it! This is worse than above it as there is no enough space!

I can open only few tabs without their title be hiden by the lack of enough space on the right of URL address! If I open more than 3 tabs, I will not see the tab's title, they will shrink and overlap!

Is this so difficult? If you are unable, publish the code source of IE and you will find thousands of people who will make it for you!!!!!!! Also, I would like to increase the display area by placing different toolbars on the same level on same horizontal line , but this is impossible! I can't move toolbars to place them where I want, although ther are unlocked!

The thing that makes me continue to use it, is that some retarded! There has to be a way to move the "Tabs" tabs from the top of the window down to the pane where the internet page appears.

Having the tabs at the very top of my IE window is extremely inconvenient and not intuitive in the least. This feature very much discourages me from using Internet Explorer 9 beta. It is as if the tabs were disconnected from the internet page and is part of the operational buttons of the browser.

Not convenient at all. And of course the current tab and page must be in one peace so users can know which tab belong to page!!! Also the labels on the tabs must be adaptive in color of the tab so it will not happened that you have the black one on the dark blue!!

MS Sorry you will be forced very quickly to move to version 10! I know new apps and programs will have their issues and people will have their issues with them when they first come out so I'm not going to rag about anything. I will say that it would be nice if the tabs were under the tool bar like previous versions just seems out of place above it and the blackening of the tabs you aren't viewing makes it tough to tell what the tab is when you do want to switch between them.

Is there a way to make the address bar shorter suggestion? I do like the fact you can drag a tab out to make it its own window. Very cool and helpful! I to find the seperation of the page and the associated tabs problematic. While I find that the pinning function can partly replace the toolbar I think the looser is ergonomics.
